Rene Orekovic RMT

Rene graduated in 2000 from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy from the 3-year,
3000-hour diploma program. After sustaining some serious pelvic and lumbar injuries as a child and early adulthood, it was massage therapy that finally gave her relief from chronic pain and a path to recovery. This change  impacted her life so drastically that she decided to redirect her career path and chose to become an RMT with the hopes she could help others find healing.


 

Rene has worked in clinical practice for 25 years gaining knowledge from working collaboratively with her patients and other health care professionals to effectively treat many conditions. She is committed to providing exceptional care for patients of all ages and stages of life.  She is passionate about working with patients to create treatment plans that are specific to individual needs, whether that’s: 

-  recovering from an injury or surgery 

- attaining athletic goals or 

-  maintaining a balanced mind/body connection

Rene has experience utilizing a variety of techniques treating:

-complex shoulder pain 

- prenatal/postnatal 

-  post-mastectomy scarring 

- post-concussion syndrome 

- migraines 

- tendonitis 

- postural imbalance syndromes 

-  nerve impingement 

-  arthritis 

She is eager to listen and help with any goals you may have on your journey to personal wellness.  Her goal is to inspire patients to reach their fullest potential in health so that they may live their best life. She believes that a holistic approach is necessary to achieve optimal wellness. Her most recent passion is learning about trauma, its effects on the body as a whole and helping patients struggling with autoimmune diseases.  

Rene spends her free time dedicated to her family, supporting her 3 athletic kids, caring for her rescue pets, cooking, gardening and maintaining her own health and fitness. Her more recent passion is backpacking and spending time in nature.
